Wouxun KG-UV9D Plus has all the standard features of KG-UV9D, plus cross-band repeat in broadband. It also has 6 additional menu items, most of them related to the broadband cross-band repeat configuration.

While the Plus looks almost identical to the 9D, upon closer inspection there are noticeable differences. The buttons on the UV9D keyboard are somewhat square, but the buttons on the 9D Plus are rounded. The speaker grille on the Plus is wider, and the buttons above are shorter and wider. The PTT button looks and feels different, with more pronounced play on the edges. The UV9D Plus chassis is also a bit thicker, measuring about a millimeter or more than the regular 9D.

However, both devices use the same battery, belt clip, desktop charger, case and other accessories, and use the same Kenwood K1 accessory connector, which means if you already have a 9D, add a 9D Plus and you won't feel the difference.

Originally introduced with the popular KG-UV8D, the large color screen is also a key feature of the Wouxun KG-UV9D PLUS and with some notable improvements. Of course, there is still plenty of space to display all the information necessary for the operation of a multifunctional radio on both bands at the same time.
