The new Yaesu FT-70DE digital system includes our unique Automatic Mode Selection (AMS) function. AMS detects the mode of operation of the received signal as digital FM or analog C4FM and then automatically and instantly switches the receiver to the appropriate mode. Users do not need to manually switch between modes. The multi-color mode LED displayed on the front allows the operator to easily see which mode the Yaesu FT-70DE is available at any time.

Set the transceivers in DG-ID or DP-ID mode, they will be able to communicate with each other. Between 00 and 99 DG-ID and DP-ID are selectable, which provides a lot of flexibility so that users can enjoy group communication with friends in GM mode, depending on their individual operational needs.

Versatile scanning capability

Programmable scan VFO, scans all channels in the desired frequency range. Memory scan allows user selectable frequencies to be scanned. Priority channel scanning can be used to scan memory channels, while a channel can be selected as having priority. The weather alert warns the user when severe weather is approaching.

Automatic Selection Mode (AMS)

The automatic mode selection function detects the reception mode. The automatic receiver selects one of the four communication modes depending on the received signal. This is extremely convenient when listening for communications, because you don't have to be aware of the other party's communication mode. The transmitter can also be used in a fixed communication mode.

Advanced functions

Other advanced features include: External DC jack for DC power operations and battery charging, mini USB port for convenient programming and software updates, CTCSS / DCS operation, automatic power-off (APO) feature, RF Squelch, transmitter emission timer (TOT ) and blocking the busy channel (BCLO).
