Yaesu FT-65 - VHF/UHF 2 Meter/70cm Dual Band Portable FM Transceiver. The Yaesu FT-65 is a compact portable, benefiting from a robust construction, with three selectable power settings 5W / 2.5W / .5W, allowing each user to select the power they need. The large front speaker provides full 1 watt clear sound quality. The device is delivered with a 1950mAh Li-ion battery, capable of operating for more than 9 hours, with an optional 2500mAh battery with over 11.5 hours of operation.

A 2.5-hour fast charger is available as standard, making the transmitter ready to go at any time. Our new large white LED displays are vibrant and highly visible. Four quick recall keys (QRK) are user programmable to instantly recall favorite channels with the push of a button.

The VOX function is available with the optional SSM-512B optical microphone. Other useful features include: versatile scanning capabilities such as programmable VFO scanning, memory scanning, channel priority scanning and weather alert scanning, WX channels with "Severe Weather" alert, PC programming, transceiver-to-transceiver cloning, Automatic Range Transponder System (ARTS), CTCSS / DCS, Busy Channel Lockout (BLCO), Auto Power Off function and Transmitter Time Timer (TOT).

To ensure a minimum charging time, the Yaesu FT-65 also comes with a fast charger, ensuring charging in 3.5 hours.

QRK (Quick Recall Key)

Four dedicated user programmable keys serve as hotkeys for your favorite menu options or use the four dedicated hold keys to quickly and easily store and hold desired frequencies.

Versatile scanning capability

VFO Scan programming scans all channels in the desired frequency range, memory scan allows user selectable frequencies to be scanned, priority channel scan can be used to scan channels from memory making it possible to prioritize a channel. The weather alert speed alerts the user when severe weather is approaching.

Programmable on PC

The Yaesu FT-65 is capable of being programmed directly from a PC, setting all advanced configuration features easily using the optional software and the SCU-35 programming cable.
